Description

Reliable production, variety of colors

Days to maturity: 75 to 80

Versatile, popular, and long-blooming Colossus? Mix Hybrid Pansy seeds are a customer favorite.

Use well drained media and transplant plugs early for best growth. Excessive water can slow growth so water when the soil surface is dry. The timing from sowing to transplant is about 40 to 45 days. The optimum transplant stage is prior to root wrap. Pansy seeds are slow to mature from plug to finish but your customers will be rewarded with massive blooms in a rainbow of colors.

Because pansies prefer cooler temperatures, outdoor production or open roof houses greatly benefit pansies by providing high light, fresh air and cooler nights. Recommend planting in part shade although full sun is tolerated in milder climates.

Pansies are one of the most popular flowers for both gardens and containers due to their large flowers, uniform size, and long bloom seasons—up to 4 to 6 months.
