Description

Bigger blooms in bright colors

A plume cockscomb like never before, this dwarf variety offers wider, thicker, more colorful blooms than any previous variety. And in this mix, you get all the brilliant Kimono shades: rich dark red, burnt orange, lavender-pink, and shades of yellow. Make it a focal point of the annual garden this season.

Kimono reaches just 8 to 12 inches high and wide, with foliage that varies from spring green to burgundy to deep purple-streaked green. But unlike many other Celosia varieties, the foliage is hardly half the plant: on Kimono, the blooms begin low to the ground and reach upward, growing in a thick flame-like shape that is utterly eye-catching.

Beginning in early summer and refusing to quit until the cold weather of fall sets in, this sun-lover is a tireless performer in container or garden. The colors are striking, the growth vigorous, and the habit restrained.

Crop time for these seeds is 5 to 6 weeks from indoor sowing. Cover the seeds lightly for germination. Grow on at 60 degree Fahrenheit nights, 75 degree Fahrenheit (or more) days. In the garden, space plants 8 to 12 inches apart.
